Description

The perron at the market square was a symbol of freedom and at the same time represents the charter of freedoms granted by the principality of Liege. Similar structures are found in Franchimont and the one in Sart dates from 1458.

In former times directives were announced, judges held court and sentences were executed at the foot of this perron. The perron was rebuilt in 1833 and restored again in 1904.
